This exciting hackathon is an opportunity for teams to brainstorm, develop, and pitch groundbreaking ideas in TravelTech. Whether it’s enhancing trip planning, improving hotel operations, or introducing futuristic travel solutions like robot-taxis, your idea could be the next big thing.

• Date: 2nd & 3rd August 2024

• Venue: Hatch Works, Colombo

• Registration: FREE to join

• Prizes:

• Top 3 teams win LKR 100,000 each.

• Teams scoring above 70 (from the top 3 teams) will enter a 4-week sprint to develop a business plan with expert guidance.

• Best business plan at the end of the sprint wins LKR 200,000.

• Viable business plans will win LKR 100,000 each.

• Potential 12-month incubation at Acornic Venture Studio with LKR 500,000 monthly support.

The Process:

1. Two-Day Hackathon at Hatch:

• Engage in idea generation or refinement.

• Pitch your idea at the end of the event.

• Top 3 teams receive LKR 100,000 each.

2. 4-Week Sprint:

• For teams scoring above 70 (out of 100).

• Develop your idea further with industry expert guidance.

• Present your business plan at the end of the sprint.

3. Venture Studio Incubation:

• Teams ready to commit to their idea can be hosted at Acornic Venture Studio.

• 12-month support covering monthly expenses of LKR 500,000.

• Develop your MVP, test it, and secure initial capital or a strategic customer.

How to Participate:

• Form a Team: Collaborate with others to strengthen your idea.

• Register: Sign up for the hackathon and await a call from the organizers for qualification. Please submit only ONE entry. If you are a team select the team option and you do not need to register each member at this stage. You'll receive a separate form later to register complete team.

• Bring Your Innovation: Be ready to disrupt the travel and leisure industry.
